개요

Prerequisites: undergraduate quantum mechanics and thermodynamics The course introduces basic concepts to understand the physical properties of materials at the level of first year graduate students. Structures of atoms and behaviors of electrons within the solid materials will be explained with the aim to provide the common foundations for any research in the field of materials science. This course covers topics of crystal structures, lattice vibrations, electronic band structures, and electron transports.
